"You have a wealth of knowledge and a hunger and curiosity which is wonderful together with a very scientific analytical mind so I am sure this will be the start of a very fruitful intellectual connection for both of us." - Dr. Michael Elstein (Australia)
"After just two days my hot flashes subsided and for the first time in years I had a restful sleep without having to throw the covers off every two hours. This is huge to me. I'm so happy about this relief that words can't even express it." - Sue Ostlie (female in her mid 50s after visiting her MD, an ND and an acupuncturist without satifactory results and then consulting with John)
"You have saved my life." - Tom Anderson
"Actually, I would place you in the same category as Dr. Oz"; "Like I said before "You're the smartest person I know" " "I really think that you are a good asset to the health world, ... LEF should be lucky to have you associated with them." - Robert Wright (Uncle)
"It was an absolute pleasure to meet you. Your knowledge is incredible." - Rocky Costello

The Wright family has a long history of doctors, farmers, inventors and scientists. John graduated from high school at the age of sixteen and left home to study at Michigan State University. As a talented student, the series of interesting opportunities to cross John's path began. While attending Michigan State University, John was recruited to help create a computer simulation of the solid fuel rocket boosters for the space shuttle. While living near Burbank, California, John passed up an opportunity to program "R2D2" for "The Empire Strikes Back". Although John passed by these opportunities he has enjoyed a life full of interesting opportunities and adventures. At the age of 24 he landed his first upper management position.
Single handed, John has developed several major pieces of computer software. One of the most impressive is the virtual world "Pernica", which has been open to the public since 2002.
John has been blessed with a lifelong curiosity and fascination with researching and learning a diversity of subjects (a current interest is in studying several foreign languages including German, French, Spanish, Czech, Mandarin, and Hindi). Thus it isn't surprising that an expert software developer would turn his interest and study to molecular biology, nutrition and health.
John's interest turned to nutrition and health when his wife, Cathy, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Cathy had suffered for nearly a decade with rheumatoid arthritis quietly accepting the conventional view that it was incurable and that nothing could be done beyond "management". Cathy had been taking methotrexate and prednisone for years, with a diagnosis from her rheumatologist of "no hope".
After evaluating the conventional therapy options recommended to her, Cathy did not want to endure the side effects from conventional treatments, so she choose to treat her cancer with a natural approach. She stopped taking the drugs for her rheumatoid arthritis, dramatically improved her diet and began a regimen of nutritional supplementation under John's guidance. This nutritional approach brought dramatic improvement to her rheumatoid arthritis. Her "RA Factor" blood tests dropped from 377.1 IU/mL to 138.0 IU/mL within ten months. While being on guard against cancer is a lifelong commitment, Cathy continues to enjoy a normal, productive life, attending sewing and quilting meetings and recently becoming the treasurer of one of the groups she participates with.
John has chosen to take the investment and studying, that he has done to help his wife with her battle against cancer, to enjoy a second career, sharing his passion for health care, to educate and help other people.
In 2008, attending the Cancer Control Society convention and the A4M conference has provided the opportunity to meet many of the leading edge, "best of the best" doctors. John is enjoying ongoing discussions with these doctors and is engaged in conducting research and writing topic papers for peer review.
Please enjoy a consultation with John, he is a very approachable person and endeavors to communicate in understandable terms rather than medical jargon.
In 2008, John joined the A4M, which provides education and information about health. Click on their logo to visit their website. The A4M (American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine) is the world's largest organzation dedicated to the advancement and promotion of knowledge to detect, prevent and treat aging related diseases and to promote research into methods to optimize human longevity. The A4M holds several conferences per year, around the world, where members gather and exchange knowledge about optimal health.
John is a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine, which provides education and support for health care practitioners.
John is a participating member of Dr. Garry Gordon's FACT forum.
John was interviewed by Ned Newberg on the KRDS radio show on April 4, 2009, on the importance of Vitamin D.
Cathy passed away on August 5, 2009. I have decided to leave the above section intact and unedited. Cathy felt that a natural approach to dealing with her cancer was right for her. In my opinion this gave her three years of enjoyable life which she probably would not have had if she had done the conventional therapies which were recommended to her. The simple fact was that Cathy had an extremely aggressive cancer and the odds were against her. Cancer is a difficult foe. Each person has the right to choose the therapies they are most comfortable with. Unfortunately no matter what therapies are chosen, some people do not "win" their battle with cancer.
I shall continue to honor Cathy's memory by continuing to help educate others about ways to be healthier.
"The sorrow which has no vent in tears may make other organs weep." -Henry Maudsley, psychiatrist (1835-1918) - This quote is good advice to allow your emotions to express themselves, it is healthy to cry and laugh. In memory of Cathy, I shall continue to do both!
